Innovations in Biosciences for Sustainable
Development: Bridging Research, Innovation, and Policy

Biosciences play a pivotal role in addressing some of the most pressing global challenges, including food security, climate change, biodiversity loss, environmental degradation, and human health concerns. Rapid advances in microbial, plant, and animal sciences, biotechnology, data-driven biology, and translational research have created new opportunities to develop sustainable, resilient solutions aligned with global development priorities.

However, a significant gap often exists between scientific discoveries, technological innovations, and policy implementation. To achieve long-term sustainability, it is essential to integrate cutting-edge bioscience research with innovation ecosystems and evidence-based policymaking. International dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration are crucial to ensure that bioscience research translates into real-world impact.

In this context, the UGC-CAS Department of Bioscience at Saurashtra University, Rajkot, is organizing an International Conference on “Innovations in Biosciences for Sustainable Development: Bridging Research, Innovation, and Policy” It is during 5-6-7 January 2027.

The conference will provide a global platform for academics, researchers, industry experts, policymakers, and students to exchange knowledge, share innovations, and discuss strategies for sustainable development through biosciences.
