About SAURASHTRA UNIVERSITY

Established in 1967 in Rajkot, Gujarat, Saurashtra University is a premier higher education institution spanning a 363-acre campus. It oversees 29 Postgraduate Departments and 285 affiliated colleges across five districts and is recognized as one of the 35 Indian universities conferred with PM-USHA MERU status.

The university is a hub for advanced research and industry collaboration, housing specialized academic chairs and the National Facility for Drug Discovery (Center of Excellence). Its research portfolio includes 64 national and international MoUs, 22 granted patents, and over 290 recent faculty publications.

Saurashtra University has a rich legacy of academic quality, having been the first conventional state university in Gujarat to attain a NAAC ‘A’ grade in 2014.
